The
meanings of the signs of the Zodiac are to this day largely interpretive
and the subject of various conjectures. However, certain signs such
as Aquarius and Virgo have been commonly noted to identify with aspects
of the seasons.
However, this is not conclusive by any means.
In his book, "Mazzaroth", Frances Rolleston argues that the
signs in fact represent wisdom and knowledge pertaining to ancient myths.
Regarding the precedent for the inclination to assume seasonal association
